dissappointed all around
By codderboy
Amazon is a good company to deal with. But with that said, they sub-contracted out my order with Technology Galaxy. The sharp tv would not turn on after only 2 weeks. I tried to go through Sharp for the warranty, but they only gave me repair shops at least 25 miles from my house and they would not answer my calls. So I tried to return it. Technology Galaxy told me (by then) I was 1 day late. Amazon stepped up and forced TG to take it back. Technology Galaxy put a lot of demands and very little time to get the tv back to them, but the kicker was I had to pay 93.14 to ship the tv back to them! So much for saving money and convience. It would have been a lot cheaper and easier going to Walmart. Now 2 months later I finally have my tv. Who knows if I will have to go through this process again if I have any more problems.

A clear bargain!

Can't even come close to this kind of quality for the price paid. Would buy it again in a second!

I like it
By Sumit Gupta
I bought the Sharp LC-42SV50U model couple of weeks ago. The picture quality is excellent. I would give sound quality as 3/5 as compared to other models I have experienced. Plenty of connection options, however, It does not support my WD 320Gb external non-powered hard disk that I have. Same harddisk works well for Samsung models, but I don't consider this a show stopper as it can support flash drives upto 16Gb which is good enough for watching photos, audio or couple of movies at a time. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lower priced model with good picture quality.

Buyer Beware
By J. Probasco
The Bad:The picture on this set is Ok, but there are much better LED pictures out there. Plus the led back lighting is splotchy and causes light and dark spots on the picture. especially noticeable when the screen is darker. The Worse:Toshiba Smart products all seem to have had a serious firmware problem that they have not fixed. The internal NIC has issues with many name brand routers (both wireless and wired) It will continually disconnect from your wifi and then while trying to reconnect it will freeze your tv control except for the off button. When it comes back on you will be unable to connect to the internet until you reset the entire tv to factory defaults. What is worse is that Toshiba has put this firmware into many of it's smart devices. I was just installing a wifi smart bluray for a friend and she had the same issues.Updating the firmware does Nothing.

Toshiba 55" LED HDTV
By Ronald R. Hammersley
This is probably the best TV I've ever owned. A nice, sharp, crisp picture. But the HD, along with the digital/HD signals being sent/broadcast, clearly show the fake "sets" that are used in most of the scheduled programming. In that regard, the old broadcast, non-digital/HD broadcasts were much better - the sets were usually believable then. Well - that's progress. Toshiba 55SL412U 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED-LCD HDTV, BlackThankfully, that isn't the case with sports broadcasts.

Buyer Beware
By remy02
Purchased product on 11/21/11, loved it, great image, however it died onn 9/14/12. Today it is 11/2/12 and after calling, emailing or live texting everyday and getting a different answer from customer service from Westinghouse Digital I was told my unit could not be repaired. I was told it would be 10-12 weeks for a replacement or I could request a refund which would take the same amount of time. I have read many review, this seems to happen to MANY of the customer who bought the same product. You get what you pay for, spend the right amount of money for a product that will last and for a manufacturer who will stand behind their product. I will never be cheap again!

WELL SATISFIED.
By Gman
I bought the Westinghouse 26" tv for the kitchen. For the price I paid, $150.00, I am well pleased with the quality of the product. The picture is great both with cable and with the streaming box that I have it hooked to for Netflix. It's the perfect size for a kitchen or bedroom unless you are addicted to a larger display screen. It's all you can expect from a tv in this price range.

Excellent TV
By Otter425
Purchase Experience: fine, smooth and painless as always.Product Comments:Size: fantastic - super thin, and light, which enables keeping shoved toward the back of its surface to keep the kids' fingers away from the screen.Picture: Excellent, very crisp (using HDMI cable). Easy enough to modify settings to get the right picture for your lighting conditions. My set is in a naturally-lit room and I have had no problem with the picture or colors as a result of the bright sunlight.Sound: fine. If you just want to watch TV/movies, the built-in speakers are fine. They won't make you go ga-ga, but if that's what you want, you'll already have (or soon hereafter acquire) a speaker system.Heat: Here's a really trick of the LED backlighting - it produces surprisingly little heat compared to a more traditional LCD. Most LCDs generate a fair amount of heat, but the LED LCD doesn't generate nearly as much.Dust: For whatever reason, the bevel seems to attract more dust than other LCDs in the house (TV and computer screens). Dust doesn't collect so much on the screen as around it - odd, but easily dealt with and doesn't affect the picture.Bottom Line: Great TV, especially for the price.

Average Tv with less than average sound
By Big C
This Tv is a mixed bag of good and bad. First the good. It has a nice picture. The picture has LED lighting and 1080p quality, which gives it a clear picture. It has has SRS TruSurround HD and SRS TruVolume, which would make external speakers sound great. The design is simple and clean. It doesn't get hot, like other TVs I own. The remote it small and comfortable in your hands and it has dvd buttons for compatible players. Now the bad. The sound is absolutely terrible. The Tv can get loud without distortion, but the speakers are on the back of the unit and the quality is bad to begin with. Furthermore, it would not be a good idea to mount this TV to the wall unless you plan to buy external speakers. Problem two, getting external speakers. Vizio's current sound bar is 39 inches long, as are most sound bars. So if you mount this 26" Tv with the the 39" sound bar, it looks disproportionately awkward. And if you invest in a home theater system, it is unlikely your going to buy a 26 inch TV. Third, when you turn the Tv on and change channels, the screen turns blue for 1.5 seconds. This is normal for this TV. I don't know why, but this blue screen irritates me for some reason. Finally, although the remote is comfortable to handle, it seems really cheap. My final thoughts, if you need a tv for kids or teenager 14 years or younger, this is a reasonable choice for the price. The picture will be great with a gaming system. For older teenagers and adults, I have to say to pass on it. Look at another 26 inch TV or invest another 50 dollars and get a nicer TV with decent sound.Update:After watching several movies and baseball games on this TV, I decided that I needed to get a sound bar because the sound quality is so bad. Vizio offers two soundbars, the VSB200 and the VSB205. I picked up the VSB205 because Vizio lists it as compatible and was the smaller of the two at 32 inches. I get it home and quickly figure out that it is not compatible. This Tv uses an optical audio out for Tv viewing. Both the sound bars offered by Vizio do no have an opitical audio input. When I called customer service, the gentlemen was surpirsed that these sound bars did not have optical audio inputs becuase most of Vizio's newer TVs offer an optical audio out, which has superior sound quality. He also admitted that it was an error that the sound bar was listed as being compatible. They still have not fixed this error on their website. If you decide to get external speakers, it will likely be a more expensive set up, which doesn't make sense for a 26 inch Tv. I returned both the TV and sound bar.

About as expected
By Brogan Else
I got pretty much what I expected with this tv. I was just getting something to put in the bedroom to replace our old hunk o' junk tube tv. The sound is horrible, but the picture is pretty good. The one other thing that sucks is if there's a way to adjust the angle of the tv on the included stand, I can't find it. It sorta leans back, so if you have it on a surface that is taller, the screen darkens because of the angle. It kinda makes for watching as you're laying in bed a bit of a strain. Outside of those things, it seems to be a decent little tv. Especially for the price.

Weak. Very Weak.
By C. Coutts
I am the first one to admit that I love my toys, and while I have mellowed in my old age, I have owned a lot of audio and visual equipment over the years. I was really excited to be getting my first flat screen TV, and figured a product from Phillips Magnavox would be a good one. Well, I was wrong. Let me begin by saying that this TV is only four and a half months old! Major technical issues have arisen in which the TV makes horrible noises and shuts itself off. I looked around online and found lots of other people have had the same problem as well. Then you have to call their technical support, which is just a great way to kill some time before they come back and tell you to take it to a local service center, and that labor is coming out of your pocket. They will however let you know "how sorry they are to hear that," about 7 or 8 times. Not a great product, poor service, not super cheap either. Try another brand, especially if you are going to spend this kind of money.

Just purchased
By Matt C
I've read some reviews saying that people are dissapointed in this tv but I'd have to disagree. I only paid $654 at Circuit City because it was an open box special and on sale. I might be a little dissapointed if I paid over 1000. Plays dvds near HD with a S-video cord on a cheap dvd player. We don't have HD tv or even digital cable until next month but regular cable still looks better then with our 20 inch SD RCA which we paid 400 for. The remote is pretty horrible, The speakers are descent but our stereo makes up for it.

i get the tv, it breaks and i feel like killing myself. thats about it. buy a samsung or something that has more than a 3 month warrenty. also, tons of repair places next to where i live dropped the mag. account because it was causing them too much money repairing all their crappy products for the warrenty. i hate magnavox.

EXCELLENT LED TV!!
By Insane
this is an awesome TV to have at the kids room, the image quality is AWESOME (exactly what you would expect from a Samsung product)I Highly recommend you get some HDMI cables (if youre looking to optimize the picture quality when using this product with an XBOX 360, or any other game console)PS if you're looking to buy a Television of this dimension (26 inches) then get the 720p as there is no major difference between 720p and 1080p in this size.. now if youre looking to get a television from 35 inches or bigger now I would higly recommend you look at 1080 as the picture quality is highly noticeable..

Budget TV with Nice features and slim design view from front
By Shikha
Hi, This 32 inch Samsung TV will meet the expectations of people who don't want to shell out much money as compared to other RCA and some cheap brands which sold out on your local stores but want good looking and nice features in their TV. It has nice contrast, color and brightness combinations. Movie and dynamic modes will meet most peoples viewing criteria. Sound is also good enough and can be used in bed room without any home theater system or external speakers. Remote control has back lit feature to be use in dark room. Thickness as you see in pics is not bothering as it can hardly be seen from front and gives you the impression of slim TV. While connecting it to laptop you will require to adjust the screen resolution of your laptop to accommodate the complete picture on TV screen. It does not have VGA port which is merely require as most of the laptops sold in last 3-4 years does have HDMI port which can be used for laptop connection (I used amazon brand hdmi cable 5-6 dollar cost which is best in its class). Personally if you are looking something for your living room then you should go with at least 40 inch tv but for bed room this 32 inch size is perfect pick. Black contrast is good enough when you set the level at low. Gamma settings can be changed and cool/warm settings are also present to increase/decrease the amount of blue/red shade. After using it for few days i realized that 1080P TV is not at all required for that extra money as you will hardly be able to recognize any difference between full definition Vs 720p definition. Completely satisfied with my purchase and didn't have any complaint about it. I got what i was expecting in 350 bucks backed by amazon's trust of new unopened product. it would be nice if amazon can sell any low budget TV stand also so that people can buy them together (in range of 20-30 bucks) as you wont prefer spending 100 bucks just on stand for the TV worth cost of 350$. Highly recommended, go for it, you wont regret on your purchase. Also its very light weight to pick easily from one room to another whenever you want to shift it to other place (of course this is not daily moving item)Pros:satisfied with picture qualityNice set of features in low budget tvlook wise it is same as other costly slim TVsBack lit remote is usefullightweightUSB port to play images, mp3 and movies (most of the formats are supported as per samsung website manual)easy firmware upgrade via USB flash driveCons:Missing VGA portLittle thick in the back but hardly mattersUniversal remote feature is missing to control all other appliances related to TVShould have been sold with TV stand as bundle packageWill definitely recommend to friends and family-Shikha

Good picture, a little thick
By DDD
I bought the Samsung UN26EH4000 and the Sharp LC26SV490 at the same to compare the pictures. Since the Samsung costs $40 more than the Sharp, I figured I would pay the extra if the Samsung's better. The Samsung's pictures are so much better than the Sharp. The Samsung is 720p and the Sharp is 1080p, but the Samsung is more clearer and more define. The only disappointing thing about the Samsung is it's much thicker than the Sharp, 3.6" vs. 2", and it's protruding out of the wall too much.
