2Impressive picture for the price. That's it really... (UPDATE 2)
By J. Desport III
Picked up one of these on the cheap during a KMart sale after my old Toshiba CRT HDTV died on me. It's native resolution is 720p, but it can accept 1080p and scale it down. The picture is still beautiful, however. While the picture is rather impressive for its price, you will soon find why the TV is set as a cheap option once the sound is turned on.The sound is bad... I mean REALLY bad. It sounds like they tore apart two cheapy cell phones, took out their speakers and put them into the TV. It is terrible sounding... I suggest picking up some sound system solution like a sound bar to fix the set. Some other issues I came across as well is the placement of the remote sensor. For some reason, it is mounted on the right side of the TV near the power LED, which is very annoying. Instead of aiming right at the TV, you have to aim at the right corner to do anything, and even then the controller messes up. Also, if you have cable or dish, chances are your box top remote won't work with the TV. Speaking of which, if anyone can provide me with a working code for a DirecTV RC64 remote for this TV, I will be very grateful as I have tried ALL of the codes provided by them with no working results. All in all, while the picture is pretty nice, this may be a pass for anyone who doesn't have a sound solution already or patience to use the remote.UPDATE: Not sure if it is just me or what, but I've noticed sometimes that the TV will get stubborn when you try to turn it on by hand or remote. It'll act like it is turning on, then just turn off on itself. A minor annoyance at most, but it does make me worry sometimes.UPDATE 2: My brother's set just flickered out and died less than a year in. I'm starting to wonder if that's what is happening with the sudden turn offs with my set. Hoping mine lasts much longer, but at this rate I'm not holding my breath.

3Good Deal for 3rd or 4th TV.
By BargainMan
I bought mine for $180 during Black Friday 2011 @ Frys. I could not imagine paying more for a 3rd TV in my house. Vizio and other brands are offering bare bones 32" TV for $250 range now days. If this is going to be a 2nd TV for the bedroom then I would encourage you to look at LED TVs because this TV doesn't have the solid picture quality you are looking for. I use it for a 3rd TV in the office. The Cinema mode is OK. I watch occassional movies, TV shows, and I have it hooked up to a computer as a display. It took some time to get used to the picture quality, but I find it acceptable for the price. I would encourage you to consider this TV at a bargain for the office, the kids room, or workout room. If not on sale, then I would encourage you to look at other brands for the better picture quality.

5Exellent product for very good price!
By Lintus
I read couple reviews about Coby TVs that made me little suspicious about this product, but I tried and got TFTV3229 31.5". I am very happy with my purchase. It is a very good quality TV for comparatively law price. The only think you will need to do is connect it properly and figure out in MENU to set for certain cable. I read reviews where people would complain that TV didn't show anything (while was connected properly) except for "NO SIGNAL", but I guess they didn't set up MENU properly. It took me a while to figure it out (be honest I was about to agree with those negative reviews). I enjoy my TV and getting prepare to celebrate the Christmas!
