This display features 8 video inputs: Three HDMI, VGA, Composite (Shows up as AV in menu), Component, built-in DVD player, and Coax for the built in TV tuner. The picture quality is sharp with a good color range for an LCD display (LED backlighting) but suffers from poor sound quality and a badly designed remote control.The biggest problem is the sound, which consists of a rear mounted, down-firing speakers. The speakers have no mid range or bass and MUST be mounted against a wall in order to redirect sound toward the front of the display. There is both a digital coax and 1/8" stereo audio output to connect the display to an external sound source if you like.The stand is stable, but can be annoying to install, as it uses screws to attach and hold the display to the base. The remote has a very poor layout and uses a very cheap, narrow IR diode, forcing you to aim the remote directly at the receiver on the lower right of the display.The DVD player only operates when you place the display in DVD mode. For example, if you are using an HDMI input, there is no power to even eject a disk from the DVD player. Seek times can be slow but its fine considering the price point. The DVD player is mounted on the right side of the display.I have multiple units of this display and have used it for over the air television, DVD playback, a computer display, and HDMI input from various devices and have seen no issues, outside of the aforementioned notes. This APEX LE2912d model is a rebranded TMAX Digital LE2612D and has a low operating cost, EPA estimated 77kWh when using 5 hours per day.
