2Prepare for "Not Supported Mode" Messages
By aquarices
This TV is great.....as long as you're not hooking anything up to it. Want to watch a movie on your progressive scan DVD player? "Not Supported Mode." Want to connect an HD cable box using HDMI/DVI? "Not Supported Mode." Have an Xbox 360 that you want to use as a DVD player? "Not Supported Mode." Ugh. I am so sick of the screen going black with a pop-up box saying "Not Supported Mode" that this TV is going back from whence it came.I've tried fiddling with different hook-ups and cables for almost a week now and have had no luck. I can hook up the HD cable box with component connections, but not HDMI/DVI. I can play games on my Xbox 360, but can't watch DVDs on it. I can use an old 480i DVD player and it will work fine, but my newer progressive scan will not. All of these work fine on the 2 other (older) HDTV's I've tried them on, so it's nothing on my end, it's the TV. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the picture is nice. But I can't justify $700 for a TV that isn't compatible with high end gear. You've been warned.

4Works great
By high def user
The review about "Mode not supported" is not the problem of the tv. I hooked up digital cable with HDTV package with HDMI cable. It works flawlessly. The picture is bright and colorful. I connected a dvd player with a component cable. pip works great too. This is a great tv for the price you pay.

4Solid Performance, Fair Price
By A. Romary
Unlike some others reviewers, I am able to watch progressive dvd's and 720p + 1080i directv signals without any problems. The sound is very good as well, surprisingly for a flat screen of this size. The quality is great, even connecting to your pc works well. Maybe an extra hdmi and composite inputs would help, but overall it is a good hdtv.

4Just right for the price
By Talvi
We wanted a second TV that we could put in the playroom for our kids who are getting older who want to watch educational TV or mommy who wants to watch Downton Abbey at the same time daddy wants to watch sports. Because we know who gets the main TV in that case. Therefore, we weren't looking for something expensive or gigantic. And happily, this TV is just right for us.Overall, this is a solid TV and great value for the money. It's doesn't have all latest features but it does all the obvious things you want from a TV well. The picture quality is sharp and the viewing angle is fairly good - you can watch it from off to the left or right without it darkening badly.Pros: Good picture quality and size Can view pictures on a USB drive Nice clean all-black finish, looks good Menus are easy to navigate and straightforward - too often these are really complicated! Has VGA and 3.5mm input so can hook up to a PC fairly easilyCons: Base isn't adjustable 720P max resolution. If you have a Blu Ray drive or something higher resolution it will max at 720P. Headphone audio out in an awkward spot on the back.Inputs and outputs: 2 X HDMI Component Composite RF Coaxial VGA 3.5mm audio in USB Headphone audio outJust from a "how does it look" perspective - it looks great. And my costume dramas look marvelous! An extra note - measures 31" wide and 23" tall (with the base screwed on).

1died -- customer service is a hassle!!!
By Michael Mcdonald
WARNING!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!This TV's picture just dies about 10 months after buying it. Thankfully, it was still under warranty-- but trying to get warranty work done was absolutely painful.First I was to take the TV for a futile 115 mile round trip to the repair shop (they have one in Southern California- Escondido) which was closed during business hours. After complaining, I was told they would come down to get it. 2 weeks later I was told that they had cancelled our work order and we would have to start again- which I did. i ordered an in- house repair.2 weeks after that and several excuses why they had not come, we were informed that we would need to take the TV to the office- they could not come down to get it. No way was I taking another 115 mile trip to a phantom shop to get work done and lose another half day of work!I called Haier who said that they would send me a letter to sign that enables me to effectively return the TV- which was just sending a sticker from the back of the TV and signing an affidavit saying that I would dispose of the TV.I did what they asked and 2 weeks later found out that I sent the wrong sticker-- They wanted me to send another one. I called and argued for them to send my TV first, because they had lied to me all along and I did not trust them. They agreed to do that as long as I promised to send in the label on the back.Almost 2 weeks later and still no TV, I call and am informed that they will NOT be sending me the TV until they receive the sticker. I argue again over a couple days and phone calls.By this time, My warranty has almost run out-- and they agree to send me a check for the amount of the TV- because they no longer had these TV's in stock.2 weeks... still waiting for my check...

5Excellent TV and Value
By Smitty of ONE
I was lucky enough to get this TV on the lightning deal, so the price was phenomenal. Ordered on a Friday and it arrived on Monday, amazing. I did not even 'need' this TV, but I figured if I got it for the lightning deal price I could use it. I am actually using this to replace a 42" non HDTV in a guest bedroom, this fits the bill, it is an appropriate size for a spare bedroom, the 42" was to big. The room feels bigger now.Overall Impression:TV came well packed and was very light. My only experience to date with flat screens were older much larger models, these always required at least two people to move, I was able to move this by myself, as well as unpack it by myself with ease. There is basically zero documentation, but it was not necessary. After hooking up the proper power and input cords I turned it on and was welcomed with a wizard program to walk me through the installation. In my case it was a terrestrial antenna and a Roku (HDMI). As mentioned earlier all my other TV's were older, but regardless, this Haier was able to get more over the air stations then I could get with the other three. This TV was located on my upper floor so this may have contributed to it.This is also my first LCD panel, all the others were plasma which I swore by, but I am now convinced that LCD is as good. The viewing angle and deep blacks are all there. Color is great with only a few tweaks. There is a bit of motion blur, but that may just be me over analyzing it. I will monitor it more.HDTV stations and programs look awesome, standard def looks poor, this is par for any HDTV these days in my opinion. As this is only a 32" panel 720p is more than enough unless you want to use it in PC mode for 1080p. There are very few true 1080P signals anyway. Our main TV's have Directv, which aside from some on demand pay per view stuff is 720p anyway. Blu-rays are a different game, but I highly doubt you could tell the difference on a 32" panel.Pro's:-Super light. One man setup.-Very easy setup via wizard menu.-Good color, nice blacks, and surprisingly good viewing angle.-Good enough inputs for casual use.-Remote has all functions. There are no buttons that can't be accessed via the remote that you can or can not do on the TV itself.-Zero dead pixels (I checked), or hotspots, I actually expected some minor issues, there were zero.Cons:-Really, really glossy. This is not an issue with the TV on, but when off, it defiantly shows dust and fingerprints.-Build quality of the TV and the remote feels really cheap, but I suppose this helps with keeping the weight down.-Bezel is a bit large to what I am used to, but this genre of TV is new to me, meaning a smaller size and perceived lower 'quality'. It does look nice off though.-Headphone Jack is located in the back in a really awkward position, then again who uses headphones on a TV?-Power cord is only a two prong, no ground. I do not know what I am talking about, but could this cause issues with power surges like lightning? It just seems weird to me.As mentioned earlier, I got this for the lightning deal, under $100, but I would still be happy if I paid alot more than that, this was a great steal in my opinion. Also check out the pictures I uploaded for the various ports.

4Not for older components!
By MollyDawg
This was my first LCD HD purchase. (I'm late to the party.) I chose Samsung, and paid a premium, for one silly feature, which is an on/off timer. Most TVs have sleep timers, but I used my little old 14" JVC to wake up! I couldn't find a reliable maker of LCDs that included an on timer except Samsumg. It not only has an on timer, it has three! Perfect for when you're going to be away and want your TV to go off and on at different intervals to make it appear that someone is home. And of course, to serve as my alarm clock.Sadly, I had to return the unit the following day. Why? Because even though the specs say that it has one composite and one component input, you can only use one or the other as it only has one video jack. Depending on your cable, you plug the video link into the one jack, and the audio into either of the remaining based on whether it's composite or component. You cannot have two machines. I had my old VCR (yes, how quaint that I still use one) and a middle-aged DVD player--one of each. Of course if you have later model attachments, you can use the HDMI, etc. But be advised, this set has limitations for older toys.As for the sound quality I have read about here and on other sites, I didn't notice anything particularly wrong with it. There are about 5 different settings and admittedly one of them is tinny, but the sound was much richer when set to "movie," and it includes an equalizer of sorts. The sound was perfectly enjoyable. So if connecting components doesn't mean anything to you, I recommend it for bedroom or kitchen placement.

1You get what you pay for
By Lang M. Ho
This is one of the cheapest 22" LCD HDTVs out there. And you get what you pay for. When I opened it and set it up it seemed fine aside from a rather flimsy stand. It worked great for a couple weeks (aside from the first time I tried to connect my PC to it). Then it would start acting up while I was playing Xbox. Either losing the picture completely or having it keep automatically adjusting the screen size, changing tints and shades, you name it and it freaked out in that manner. It stabilized itself and stopped doing that, but I have no idea what caused it and basically am just waiting for it to do it again. Do yourself a favor and remember that you get what you pay for, low price means low quality.UPDATE: I would not recommend this product under any circumstances. I had the picture go out or get messed up at least (literally, no joke) 15 times while trying to watch a movie last night. And for anyone wondering if it might be just the component jacks, well, I switch it over to cable just long enough to catch half a car chase on some cop show (I'd be more specific on the title, but the TV didn't stay on long enough for me to see it). At this point I would deem it inoperable and am in the process of returning it.I would also like to add that a lot of the features on the TV make me believe that the TV is not actually made by Samsung, but rather a different company that has coordinated a deal with Samsung to allow the Samsung name to be placed on it.

4Good for price
By Spartan Basketball
This LCD TV is great for the price. Perfect size for my home office. I have no issue with the picture or the sound. People need to be realistic. It is a 22" TV, not meant to be the focal point of a home theatre. Easy plug and play setup takes about 5 minutes from box to functionality.

4For the money, you can't beat it!
By S. Sawyer
I ordered this TV during the Black Friday weekend sales on Amazon. I figured this must have been a misprint...A 37" 1080p LCD television for $219 with free shipping? Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong. I had the TV shipped to my local FedEx and picked it up this evening. Yes, the audio leaves something to be desire but the TV does have a coaxial digital audio output if I should choose to hook the TV up to a sound system. However, the picture quality is quite an improvement over my 32" LCD and I couldn't be happier. Three HDMI inputs and the setup was a breeze! Even programmed my Dish Network DVR remote with the television with ease. I would easily recommend this television to anyone looking for a great deal on an LCD this Christmas season. I tried researching the model prior to purchase and found nothing, not even on Hiteker's website. The TV isn't even branded! There is no Hiteker logo or emblem or anything around the bezel. However, don't let that fool you! Given the lack of info regarding the TV, it's best to go with the extended warranty. However, I'd gladly purchase this television again without hesitation! Amazon is top notch this holiday season!

4Pleasant surprise!
By CS
Took a chance buying this tv. It wasn't a "top" brand, there were no reviews when I ordered it, and it was a 37" for less than $250. Sounds too good to be true, well, it isn't. Finally received it today (bravo Amazon for the super fast shipping, less than 3 days) and immediately set it up and hooked it to a bluray player. The picture was great, the sound was great and the complete look for the product was great. One thing that stopped me from giving it a 5/5 was the stand. It's kind of wobbly, so I'll probably wall mount this very soon. But if I could give partial star points, as of the moment, it's a 4.5/5. We'll see how it is weeks from now, but I'm definitely considering another one for another room.

5Nice TV
By tomaj
Very nice picture and built very well! Stand is made out of plastic and I was skeptical at how sturdy it would be but after installation it stands up and doesn't wobble! Sounds is a bit iffy but after playing with the sound settings I was able to balance it out and get it to sound decent. But for $219 who really can complain

1Don't Waste Your Money....
By Unlucky Recipient
... I'm lucky (or unlucky) enough that I got this television as a gift, so at least I didn't have to waste my well earned $150 bucks on it. Simply put, this television is terrible!!!General Issues:TERRIBLE VIEWING ANGLE- the only way you can see the picture is if you're looking straight on directly at the television at eye level. I have it in my bedroom on a table, and I can't lie down or sit in a chair off to the side of it because the picture goes COMPLETELY blackPOOR SOUND- the highest level volume still isn't enough for me to hear the dialogue if I have my window open or my bedroom fan onProblem with my unit:I had installed a digital antenna to pick up local stations, but tried to attach it to my cable the other day. My cable wasn't working so I decided to plug the antenna back in for the meantime, and now it doesn't work! The TV won't pick up ANY channels, can't get any help from the company and am completely s.o.l. Now it's basically a glorified 'not so portable' DVD player. It's completely useless- I can't wait until I can buy a new TV.

5First Class 3D TV
By Bob Drake
The impressive thing about the Vizio E3D320VX is the way it is packed and the attention to detail. They give you a full sized Phillips screw driver to install the base, and eight stainless bolts when you need only six. The remote batteries are Mitsubishi alkaline, not some cheap "heavy duty" items. Both the panel and the glasses come with Vizio supplied cleaning cloths. The TV is easy to set up, and the remote has a rubberized alphanumeric keyboard on the back side, making data entry easy. The two supplied 3D glasses are of the passive, polarized variety, with the premium one contoured and the basic one flat. (However you might want to liberate a pair of Real D 3D glasses from the movie theater if you wear glasses. Both of these bend in at the temples to hug your face. The Real D 3D glasses accommodate glasses better.)The 3D and 2D pictures are both great as is the TV off-air picture using a Terk HD digital antenna here in the NYC area. The 3D (using a Panasonic 3D player) is bright and truly 3D. (The TV indicates with a dialog box that it has detected a 3D source and asks if you want to switch to 3D.)It has a built-in wireless Wi-Fi receiver (not an expensive extra like my Panasonic plasma) and is easy to connect using the alphanumeric keyboard on the remote.I am still exploring the various extras. But things look good so far!ADDED 5/21/11:A recent Samsung ad tells the difference between the active 3D TVs that they sell (both LCD and plasma) versus passive 3D TVs like this Vizio (and some LG models). Yes, they are correct that there is a minor "venetian blind effect" (light horizontal bars), particularly on white block text, but it is not really visible when you are watching a movie. (In truth, each eye is seeing a 1920x540 image simultaneously on a passive TV whereas each eye sees a 1920x1080 image with active glasses (in succession, one eye at a time, as the L and R lenses switch on and off).) But, with the convenience and cost of passive glasses ("free" at the movies), and the cost of the Vizio TV itself, the Vizio passive "Theater 3D" is very, VERY nice if not absolutely perfect.ADDED 5/30/11:I've watched Avatar 3D, How to Train Your Dragon 3D, and Megamind 3D on the Vizio and enjoyed every minute. This Vizio TV has RCA audio out whereas many panel TVs do not. (They have only optical audio out.) I output the sound to a pair of Audioengine 2 - PC multimedia speakers - 30 Watt (total) - 2-way - satin black and an Audioengine AS8 - Subwoofer - 125 Watt - black in the bedroom without a receiver, so the RCA-out audio is a necessity.Reflecting on the CONS in another review: (1) Yes, the boot-up is slow for a solid-state device, but may have to do with the fluorescent lighting panel behind the screen rather than the LCD screen itself. (2) I do not get any buzzing at all. (3) The compact remote is a plus to me. The small buttons are no problem if you are used to the keyboard on an iphone. The rubberized alpha-numeric keyboard on the back is a plus as are the direct-connect Netflix labeled button (and others) on the front of the remote.Keep in mind this is a $500 3D set.ADDED 8/13/11:[SEE NOTE BELOW] This passive 3D TV does not seem to work in conversion mode with the newer players that convert 2D -> 3D, specifically the Panasonic 310. The 2D and 3D images are perfect, but the 2D->3D conversion results in a flickering image that is 3D but hard on the eyes. The same 310 works well in conversion mode on my 600Hz Panasonic plasma. Perhaps the problem is that the 32" Vizio is 60Hz. In any case there is an apparent incompatibility problem. If I learn how to prevent the flickering I will report back.ADDED 9/24/11:In Comments, C. Anderson explained how to get this set to work in 2D->3D conversion and it works. His procedure: Turn on your Blu ray player and navigate to setup, next go to player settings, then push TV/Device Connection. Go to 3D settings and then go to 3D type, click this and change it to Side by Side. [I got a warning saying that the set is capable of Full HD, which is true, but not in 2D->3D conversion.] Once you have changed it to Side by Side, the problem is fixed. Now insert a non-3D movie you want to watch in 3D, and push the 3D button on the player remote to select 2D->3D. Your TV will sense 3D content and ask you if you want to watch 3D or 2D. You will only have a few seconds to push Yes, so be ready with the Vizio remote or it will revert to 2D.Note that there have been reports that Vizio will not act on defective sets after the 1 year warranty is up. PERIOD. They will not repair sets AT ALL. While in warranty they will replace sets with refurbished units. So buy a Square Trade warranty of your choice of length FROM AMAZON within 90 days of placing your order (not delivery). Square Trade will not sell warranties from their Website for units bought at certain stores like Amazon, Best Buy, and a few others.ADDED 5/26/12:Still going strong. Zero problems. Remote repelled some liquid with no ill effects.ADDED 7/24/12:Still going strong. Zero problems.

5Awesome 3D TV for the Price ..
By Muhammad S. Ali
I had been researching 3D TVs for over a year before I bought this TV. Plasma had my vote as lack of deep black levels were something that were very noticeable for me on my last two televisions. I had been interested in Panasonic GT25 series for a while but the cost of active shutter glasses and up-keep (battery, wear and tear etc.) was prohibitive (this being a 2nd TV in the bedroom). The first I had heard about FPR passive glasses based devices was about a year ago. They were said to be the next best thing but being a geek who has been burned before I was initially skeptical that the 3D effect would be very good. I was certain there will be sacrifices in image quality for 2D however I was actually very surprised by the image quality (both 2D and 3D) on this television. The device simply can not be beat in terms of image quality and features at this low price (Similarly capable LG TVs (albeit with 240 Hz and some extra bells and whistles) cost more than twice as much).I have had an HDTV (this being my 3rd) for the past 5 years and this TV has the best image quality and features and costs the least.PROS:- Even though this is an LCD panel the blacks levels are actually pretty good.- PS3 and XBOX360 on HDMI look fantastic and there are several modes available to tweak color temp and/or brightness hue contrast levels.- 3D effect looks amazing with both games and movies. I have had the TV for only a day so I have not had a chance to watch a full length 3D movie yet. 3D games I tried include wipeout HD which looks amazing. I had tried this game previously on a 3D Sony TV before and this one looks just as good while costing one 3rd.- Lots of options are available for different settings e.g. Zoom has 4 settings (normal, wide, zoom, panoramic)- Internet apps are available for flickr, facebook, NEtflix, VUDU, Amazon video on demand, Blockbuster and lots of news station. Not needing to power up my PS3 (for netflix) or my PC (for amazon video on demand) mean power savings :).- Qwerty keyboard on the remote makes using these internet apps a breeze.- The TV has wifi n and ethernet both which makes it very flexible. It has 3 HDMI ports and 1 component and 1 VGA port.- It has capability to play songs and display pictures a usb disk (has 2-3 usb ports, I tried connecting my western digital passport and it worked great)but no movies. Pictures app has a lot of different transitions that make the slideshow and normal photo viewing great.- The passive glasses are much lighter and more comfortable than active shutter glasses I had tried before. I wear glasses so I have to wear these on top of my existing ones and they have been much easier to handle than other glasses. I believe one can get clip-on type attachments (generic variety not from Vizio) for prescription glasses as well.CONS:- None that I can think of. The TV has surpassed my expectations for its price. To nitpick it is not 240HZ, or LED backlit, does not support PIP or POP. There are less options available compared to TVs that cost more than twice as much.- After a couple of weeks of use I can definitely say that the TV is a little slow to start compared to my older HDTV, granted this one has internet apps (implying an embedded processor with an OS that needs to boot) but it is a noticeable difference. Since, this feature was not something I could test with other floor models, this could just be the norm for internet enabled TVs.UPDATE APRIL 16th 2011:- Confirmed that movie playback from usb disks is not supported as mentioned in the manual.- I had a chance to watch some more 3D content (Tangled 3D, Super stardust HD, mortal Kombat 3D demo, KillZone 3 3D demo) and played around with some internet apps like Vudu and netflix and all looked great. I have not tried the wifi n link as I have it connected via wired ethernet. Vudu has a test festure built-in that tells you what format (SD, 720P, 1080P would be most suitable as they are priced differently. There are not a lot of choices though and the prices are pretty high (4.99 - 6.99 for 720p to 1080p rentals) but they are sometimes better than Sony Playstation Network especially for 3D movies.UPDATE APRIL 25th 2011:- Added more information and my thoughts after a couple of weeks of use.- I also tried IZ3D with every setting but could not get 3D (for PC)to work over HDMI. Maybe it will work over RGB but for my setup HDMI looks and works better so that is not an option I was going to try.- I would also like to add that sound quality is actually decent on this device, depending on the source of the original material sound is clear. I was going to buy a sound bar for this TV (since it is in my bedroom) but i guess i can wait until the next version comes out in July instead of buying last years model.

5Best Deal for the Price
By Andrew Fujii
If you're looking for a 3D internet connected TV, then this is the one to buy. This TV is probably the best overall value out there right now. Picture is incredible and sound is adequate. By "adequate" I mean that the sound is good enough if this is a TV for your room. If this is a TV is for a family or entertainment room, you may want to buy external speakers just to improve the overall quality of sound. The internet connectivity and available apps is really nice. If you are a Netflix or Hulu+ user, this will be extremely convenient. There is plenty of apps for sports updates too.3D is a really nice touch to the TV. I've tried a few things in 3D and can say that you really will get a solid 3D experience from this TV. However you can't be sitting anywhere you want to. The manual comes with a diagram of "optimal 3D viewing". From certain side angles you won't get the 3D viewing. The only major issue I've had with this TV is when using a PS3 to play video games. Ghosting (motion blur) can be an issue as well as awkward pixelations and lag when viewing in 1080p. Vizio support was more than helpful with this. They recommended changing the output settings on my PS3 which ended up fixing the problem for the most part.Overall I highly recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for the most advanced TV tech available, while still being able to afford it.**UPDATE 5/14/11: PS3 Settings to Reduce Ghosting and Eliminate Lag**After playing with a ton of combinations of settings I found the following PS3 settings to work best while gaming in 2D. These settings were based on MLB 11: The Show because that particular game had the worst ghosting issues out of my games. Other games, may not need these settings. The TV settings listed below are absolutely necessary to have. It will eliminate any lag that you might experience.PS3 Settings:--Go to 'Video Settings' and set '1080p 24HzOutput (HDMI)' to OFF.--Go to 'Display Settings' and change 'Video Output Settings' to 720p. To change this setting you have to choose 'Manual' when it prompts you to choose.--The only other setting (which I'm not positive I actually changed or if this setting was default) was in 'Game Settings'. I have 'PS Smoothing' set to OFF.TV Settings:--TV Settings: Hit 'Menu' on your TV Remote and go to 'Settings'. Make sure the 'Input Source' is set to whatever input your PS3 is using. Go to 'Game Mode' and choose 'ON'. This eliminates all lag while gaming which was a huge problem initially.

2Nice little package, but with limitations
By digiwealth
Part of what my company does is digital signage for offices, waiting rooms, hotel lobbies, etc... and I purchased this because of its price tag.The quality of the picture was fine, but the back end and user interface was nothing special. I never did figure out a way to update this remotely. All updates must be done by saving the whole presentation from the desktop software to a memory stick. Then, you need to plug it in to the tv and tell it to update. Also, you have to install the content management software on your computer to be able to edit or change your presentation. This also means that you have to have access to said computer and can not submit updates while sitting on the couch at home.Content design/creation - Again nothing too special here. The software comes with some pretty nice pre-made templates, but I could not find a way to use my own design. Also, manipulation and moving areas or zones in a template is not possible. You have to go with what is supplied. Text can be changed, however, you really only have the standard options like font, bigger size, italicized, etc. After all that being said, I do feel that this might have some applications where it would be perfect for. Also, not have a recurring monthly fee is a big plus. I guess it would all come do to your needs and what you are looking for you digital sign to do.
