Bang for the buck! Beautiful picture!
By Breezy
I am impressed! My main TV rig is a LG 55" LED TV for which i paid $1500(It's a beautiful picture.) I purchased the Seiki as a gift and had the pleasure of setting it up at a cost of $320. It's a beautiful picture! 15 minutes done and done. While it's no LG, it doesn't claim to be.Some comments about the remote? It works and I see no issue. They designed their remote differently from every other company most likely because they don't want to be sued by a major player for IP infringement. Samsung vs. Apple? Kodak vs. Apple/RIM? There's enough of that going on. You mean someone has to move their thumb to a new location on the remote to change between inputs? Blasphemy! Haha. Come on folks. Don't be afraid of a little change. You'll adjust accordingly. The picture quality is quite impressive. Remember my daily TV is (in my mind) a flawless picture. The next need I have for an LCD, I will buy this one. First off don't let anyone tell you 60hz is acceptable and only relative the TV industry video standards. Bull. I cannot watch 60hz TVs b/c the response is too low. Action scenes, gaming, or fast changing screens will make the 60hz obvious. I've seen 60hz from LG to Sam to Sceptre. It's all the same. Do yourself a favor and go with 120hz. I turned the 120hz setting on and could immediately see a major improvement over the default picture(which is 60hz).The bezel is slim. Again for the price point you're getting a deal. The slim bez is becoming an industry standard but usually found on the high end sets.Inputs are standard and more than sufficient. The audio is on par with every other lcd on the market. This should not even be considered as a deciding factor for any set. Most people go surround sound anyway and if you don't then you probably don't care about sound anymore than is it on or off.Amazon delivered on point. I had 2 day shipping. It was there in a day. I must say that I was sweating bullets unboxing this TV. After reading reviews I was sure it would be going back due to dead pixels etc. This experience has been flawless. The picture was flawless. There is a 1 year warranty.Amazon backs the products they sell so if you do get a dud, they'll make sure you get a new one. Just remember, regardless of what brand you buy, there is a risk of getting a dead unit.If you're Worry Wonka, do yourself a favor and get an extended warranty for $35 bucks. I wouldn't think twice about buying this set again.

Shipped with a band of dead pixels and oddly, the wrong remote.
By KindlePad
The pros:Nice image quality, bright, tru motion works well.Audio out of the speakers surprisingly loud & strong.Easy to use menu's for setup.3 HDMI inputs, lots of good audio outThe cons:The first thing I noticed when I powered the TV on was a band (about 5 pixels long) of red / dead pixels. Ouch... Ugly. I can't stop seeing them.It shipped with a Samsung remote - not kidding - and the remote would not control the Seiki HD. I had to use my Logitech remote and program one of the controls modes for this tv in order to get it work. How bizarre.Pretty heavy. The streak of red / dead pixels is sort of a deal breaker. Otherwise a lovely tv,

This is a keeper
By C. L.
I bought this TV when it's on sale from Amazon. After I ordered it, I saw some negative views, so I tried to cancel the order. Amazon told me it's too late to cancel, in stead they told me I can refuse the delivery and I will get my money back. The UPS guy didn't ring the bell, he left the TV outside. I decided to give this TV a try, what a surprise, the TV is very good! After I hook up the cable and auto scan all the HD channels, the picture is excellent. The remote control is very easy to operate, no problem there. I have a roku box(1080p), works great with this TV.I give 4 star because like someone else mentioned, the HDMI positions(angles) are a bit awkward, but it's not that big deal since after you plug HDMI cables in, how often you take them out? Another small thing is the stand, once you mount the TV on the stand, you can't turn the screen around without lifting the TV.Overall, this is definite a keeper. I am happy I didn't cancel my order successfully.
