Ok, lets make one thing clear. This is a cheap TV. That's a good thing as well as a bad thing. For me it was a matter of my needs vs. my wants. I needed a small TV for my small bedroom. I wanted a small FLAT PANEL tv and not a small tube TV. Price was another driving factor. I wanted this for a low cost. Here's what I ended up getting.A small LCD TV for less than $200(on sale black friday).It is a 4:3 ratio TV. HD Ready (Simply means you can plug your HD Tuner into the component inputs and it works) Stylish looking TV.Positives:-Cheap price even when it's not on sale for $188-Small and lightweight. VESA mount capable.-HDTV Inputs-Decent sound quality. Several sound "themes"-Small remote-Auto tune feature. This feature tweaks the signal coming in from your cable to the best frequency. You can also manually tweak the frequency.-The picture quality(Brightness, Color, Hue etc.) can be manually adjusted or you can pick a "Theme" (Warm, Cold, etc)-VESA mountable. This will allow you to mount it practically anywhere.Negatives:-Feals like a cheap TV kinda. Plastic bezel and frame. Chrome painted speaker grill. Looks fancy until you touch it. Don't let anyone touch it and you'll be fine.-Remote is not backlit. It's also really small so it is easy to lose.-I've only been using it for 2 days. I hope it either lasts for a few years, or that it breaks before my 90-day return period. I'm keeping the box just in case.-No DVI inputs. But for less than $250, I wouldn't expect it anyway.

I recently purchased this TV at Target over the weekend.It is a basic set with no fancy features. But it works well as an extra set for the kitchen or bedroom.Surprisingly, this little set is HD ready. It's component inputs handle progressive DVD players and will allow HD resolutions up to 1080i. However I have not tried that option. The picture from a Progressive DVD player is very nice. This set only handles HD thru its component inputs it does not have HDMI or DVI inputs.Warning: This set does not have image correction if you are watching it from an angle. If you are sitting in front, its good. But on an angle the picture is washed out. If you are familiar with older computer monitor LCD's then its about the same experience.The price is good and this is decent deal.

Looking for a small kitchen flat panel TV that wasn't an undercabinet model led us to the TruTech. Nice design in a nice package, but picture quality is poor at best. I guess I should have suspected as much when I noticed that it was the only model not set up in the store. At $100 less than the next "name brand" alternative ($188) I was willing to take a chance on the quality by mixing in a 3YR warranty purchase. Unfortunately, even with the multiple picture quality options we can't get to a quality level that isn't flat panel circa 1990. I must confess that we have a high quality digital signal courtesy of Dish Network and Sony VEGA tubes in the house which holds anything up to a high standards. However, after hooking our 10YR old 13" Toshiba tube with integrated VCR, side-by-side with our new TruTech and seeing the dramatically reduced quality of this flat panel during NFL highlights we've decided to take back the TruTech. $188 saved.
