4Not terrible, but 1920x1080 doesn't cut it at 27 inches or more.

1920x1080 spread across a 27 inches diagonal display is about 82 pixels per square inch. This is pretty dismal compared to the 400+ pixels per inch that the human eye can resolve at 12 inches. For a 27" computer screen, I recommend you shop for a monitor with at least a resolution of 2560x1440, many of which are widely available. That will get you 109 pixels per inch, which will look a whole lot better than 82 will. Plenty of 27 inch screens with that resolution are available from Dell, Apple, and Viewsonic. You just have to look a little bit harder.1080P is a fine resolution for a television that it 10 or 20 feet from you, across the room. For a computer sitting 18 to 20 inches in front of your face, it doesn't cut it on anything but the smallest displays such as a 15.6" laptop.Other than this complaint about resolution, I have no issues with this monitor. The blacks look good, it is well made, easy to set-up, and the contrast is above average. My only issue is the resolution, but I think that is a concern that should give you some serious pause.
